Condolences
Patti Crow-Scott Friend February 18, 2011

I have known Emelie since before I can remember. She was friends with my parents, Lucille & Vernon Crow. She lived across the street from me and I spent quite a bit of time at her house when I was small. She was always so good to me and patient with me. I fondly remember the beautiful Easter eggs she would paint and decorate the outside of her house with. She had so many talents. Emelie and I remained friends and I visited with her shortly before I left on vacation on Feb. 5th. Something told me to go see her that day and I am so glad I did. I was so saddened to learn of her death upon my return and that I had missed her service. We have lost a great lady and you, her family, have my deepest sympathies. I hope you find comfort in the fact that she is happy and at peace now.

Sincerely,
Patti Crow-Scott
Emelie Diller From a Friend February 11, 2011

News of her death saddened me and brought many memories to mind of working with

Emilie in the Engineering Dept at Illinois Power.  We were often "lunch mates" and shared

breaks .  We shared family stories and I was aware of how very much she loved and respected her family.  She was truly everybodies friend, and many of the draftsmen called her "Auntie Em"

especially when she brought fresh baked goods in to them.

She was kind enough to hand-letter place-cards for a Rehearsal Dinner I arranged when my son

was married and refused to accept  anything in return for the hours she spent on doing about 30

of them.  She befriended me in so many ways.

I regret so much that I lost touch with  Emelie and wish I would have had a chance to see her

to share this reverie in person.  So I will send this note to you her family, remembering what

a lovely lady she was and how lucky I was to know her for a while.
